Tejari Announces 2013 Real World Sourcing Scholarship Winner

Series top scorer awarded 10,000AED toward procurement based training

Strategic sourcing company Tejari, together with CIPS MENA launched the Real World Sourcing series at the start of the year, a programme of four expert briefings tailored exclusively for senior-level procurement executives. The series focused on real world, practical experience based briefings delivered by purchasing and supply chain expert Guy Allen, and Peter Smith, Managing Director of Spend Matters UK/Europe.

In conjunction with the series, Tejari offered participants the chance to win the 2013 Real World Sourcing Scholarship for use towards procurement specific training. To qualify for the scholarship, participants were asked to complete online certifications following each briefing, this reinforcing Tejari’s efforts to support education in the region. The top ten scorers across the series gathered last night alongside Tejari and CIPS MENA representatives at One and Only Royal Mirage to hear the winner of the 10,000AED scholarship fund.

After a close finish, Ali Sadeddin, Senior Procurement Manager at Emirates Falcon Electrochemical Company (EFFCO) was named 2013 Real World Sourcing Scholarship winner and was presented with the cheque of 10,000AED. The winner said ‘It was an honour winning the Real World Sourcing Scholarship award tonight, the briefings throughout the year were really useful and informative and I not only enjoyed taking the online certifications but I took them very seriously’
