Major
General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services
at Abu Dhabi Police made an inspection visit to the Medical Services
Department, to review the services it provides to staff members of the
Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police and their families. Badran
reiterated the unstinting commitment to improve the quality of medical
services and treatment offered to staff members, in pursuance of Abu
Dhabi Police’s strategy to provide its staff with the best-in-class
health care.
“Upgrading the standards of the medical services and
treatment tops the list of priorities of the police institution. This
is achieved by hiring highly qualified medical experts and utilizing the
best equipment for patients’ treatment, according to international
standards. Moreover, we are keen to instill the concept of team work and
concerted efforts in our medical staff, to maintain the quality and
integrity of services achieved by the Medical Services Department at the
Abu Dhabi Police,” said Major General Badran.
During the visit,
Major General Badran met Colonel Jassim Al Tunaiji, Head of the Medical
Services Department. He stated that the department’s present and future
projects will further enhance the services’ quality indicators and
ensure the timely and accessible delivery of medical services and
treatment to patients. He urged the medical staff to pursue their
distinguished efforts and team work, so as to provide the best services
and spread the health education among community members.
Badran
attributed the advanced and leading status of the medical services to
the unlimited support of the Police leadership, which is committed to
introduce the best equipment and devices to allow doctors diagnose the
different health problems and prescribe the proper treatment. “The
department also endeavors to boost the competency of its medical staff,
by enrolling them in programs, training courses and international and
local medical conferences,” he continued.
For his part, Colonel
Jassim Al Tunaiji, Head of the Medical Services Department, gave an
overview of the medical services and treatment provided by the
department to the MoI and Abu Dhabi Police staff. He also shed light on
the projects already accomplished, and the planned expansion of the
services. Moreover, he pointed to the development and improvement of the
medical facilities to keep abreast of the latest medical developments.
Major
General Badran toured the various specialized clinics and inspected the
workflow at the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy Clinic for
Gastroenterology Diseases. He listened to a presentation by
gastroenterologist Doctor Sameh Fakhry, and reviewed the work of the
medical committee and the services provided to patients according to the
approved standards and criteria.
