During a workshop organized by the Strategic and Performance Development General Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Interior’s employees were briefed on the benchmarking policy.
The workshop included a series of consultations and discussions to increase the quality of the benchmarking policy so that it can be clearly and easily implemented through combined review of the proposed policy, which will allow them to determine the direct and indirect effects.
Institutional Expert Rana Abu Khadra said that the workshop aims to instill the concept of benchmarking among the Ministry of Interior’s staff members and to highlight the role of The Benchmarking Center in meeting the Ministry of Interior’s requirements to help implement the best local and global practices, in addition to explaining the benchmarking policy at the Ministry of Interior.
She also explained that the benchmarking policy is a document that aims to manage the process of benchmarking at the Ministry of Interior, as well as to set the principles and standards under which the process is implemented, according to a governance system that ensures coordination and interaction between the Benchmarking Center and the Ministry of Interior’s various departments.
Furthermore, the workshop addressed the main topics addressed by the benchmarking policy, including definitions, terminology, and instructions. The workshop also addressed the regulations that must be followed in order to carry out comparisons. It also addressed the scope of application of the policy’s standards, as well as its documentation, references required, and the laws associated with them.
