Saif Bin Zayed: To Pursue Excellence in Public Service

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Monday, December 30th 2013

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, urged the Emirates Driving Company to maintain the company’s outstanding performance and adopt the highest standards of quality and expertise in training in order to serve the public.

Sheikh Saif called on the Board of Directors to enhance the company’s staff members’ skills and exert further effort and perseverance to improve overall performance. Furthermore, he urged them to provide high-quality services in the field of driving education, so as to promote higher levels of traffic safety and meet the requirements and expectations of the public.

On Sunday, Sheikh Saif met with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Driving Company. During the meeting, Sheikh Saif noted that economic status and economic development are linked with the movement of vehicles and drivers, as they reflect the civilized image of developed countries. “In this regard, the Emirates Driving Company played a positive role,” he added.

The meeting was attended by Dr.Tayeb Kamali, Chairman of Emirates Driving Company; Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier AliKhalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of His Highness, the Minister. The company’s Board of Directors was represented by Rashid Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Abdullah Al Amiri and Khalid Balama.

Dr. Tayeb Kamali and the members of the Board of Directors briefed Sheikh Saif on the achievements made by the Emirates Driving Company during the year (2013).Sheikh Saif reviewed several reports, including the company’s expansion plans, which include the opening of a training center in Mazyad in Al Ain that will be fitted with integrated and outstanding equipment in order to train drivers. This center is similar to the company's current building in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.

For his part, Dr. Tayeb Kamali praised Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed’s continuous support of the Emirates Driving Company. Dr Kamali stressed Sheikh Saif’s commitment to advancing excellence, and improving the services that are offered to the public. Dr. Kamali also praised the cooperation and facilities provided by the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters for the Emirates Driving Company and other leading domestic companies.

In conclusion, Dr. Kamali reiterated the Emirates Driving Company’s commitment to improving training skills and increasing opportunities to promote awareness and road safety. “The company is committed to sustainably developing and promoting educational programs for drivers through international best practices and the use of recognized technology, with the aim of offering the best, which is reflected positively through the overall level of traffic safety.”
