Estee Lauder Brand Promotes Daniel M. Annese to Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Market Development, Estee Lauder

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Global Brand President, Estée Lauder today announced the promotions of two key executives as part of efforts to continue building global momentum on the signature brand.

Ms. Hudis appointed Daniel M. Annese to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Market Development, Estée Lauder. This role gives Mr. Annese responsibility for the growth and profitability of Estée Lauder’s business in the brand’s six geographic regions – North America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Travel Retail and the United Kingdom – as well as oversight of the brand’s Global Education function. Mr. Annese’s position is effective immediately; he will continue to report to Ms. Hudis.

Mr. Annese joined The Estée Lauder Companies in 1994. Since 2005, he has served as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Estée Lauder International, managing one of the largest business units in the Company and working closely with the regional teams to successfully integrate global and regionally relevant programs which enhance brand image, position and performance. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President, Marketing, North America, Estée Lauder as well as a series of positions of increasing responsibility in Skincare Marketing, Fragrance Marketing and Education, honing his skills in brand management, category development, training and retailer relationships.

Ms. Hudis also named Charisse Ford to the position of Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Estée Lauder. Ms. Ford will be responsible for global product marketing programs for the skincare, makeup and fragrance categories. She succeeds Elana Drell Szyfer, who recently left the Company to pursue other opportunities. Ms. Ford’s position is effective immediately; she will report to Ms. Hudis.

Ms. Ford joined The Estée Lauder Companies in 2005, after holding marketing positions at Avon Products, Sara Lee Corporation and Kraft Foods. She most recently served as Vice President, Global Marketing, Skincare and Face, Estée Lauder since 2007, after having served as Executive Director, Global Makeup Marketing, Estée Lauder since 2005. In addition to spearheading the global success of Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex, Ms. Ford has also created innovative 360 degree marketing programs for the new Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Collection and the Double Wear foundation franchise.
