The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior took part in the “Watani Spring Camp”, which was recently held under the slogan “My Homeland, Here I am at your service!” A total of 300 male and female children aged 7-14 took part in the camp at the New World School, Dubai.
The participation embodies the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to assume its societal responsibility and to participate in various events and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the sense of loyalty and affiliation to the nation as well as promoting national and community cohesion.
Captain Hamdan Al Hafiti, from the Law Respect Culture Bureau, noted that the Bureau has participated in the “Watani Spring Camp” program for children over the course of two days. He also provided an overview of the programs designed to provide legal education for children in a scientific and simplified age-appropriate approach, coupled with fun-filled suspenseful excitement, on the importance of abiding by the law. These programs included cartoon films, theatrical presentations, the “Smart Explorer” contest, photos display, and distribution of booklets.
“The Law Respect Culture Bureau staff members have answered children’s queries regarding the most common wrong behaviors, and distributed law-themed commemorative gifts, booklets, and leaflets to the children,” he said.
In conclusion, Captain Al Hafiti added: “Through this participation, we sought to instill legal values and concepts in children to become daily practices. We also tried to enhance good citizenship requirements, so as to promote compliance with the law as an intrinsic approach, to allow children to effectively contribute in the renaissance and development process witnessed by the State”.
