Introductory Meeting at Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs about Problem Solving

The Ministry of Interior organized an introductory seminar tackling the criteria of the "Problem Solving" Award, part the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award. The meeting also examined the importance of linking the award to the strategic goals of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector.

Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, attended the presentation provided by the Corporate Excellence Department at the ministry, during the meeting that was held at the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

Captain Raed Saeed Al Muhairi from the Community Police Department and First Lieutenant Rashed Al Shamesi from the Corporate Excellence Department highlighted the criteria of the award, conditions of participation and the importance of adopting the SARA model, which is the commonly used problem-solving method and comprises four essential stages (Scanning, Analysis, Response and Assessment).

The delegation tackled the importance of adopting the SARA model to overcome any obstacles to organizational units, as a common approach applied by a number of developed countries to identify and solve problems, as per advanced scientific means.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Saeed Salem Al Shamesi, Director of Information and Follow-up Department, as well as heads of departments and a number of officers and entities that are concerned with the award from the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
