Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police,
reviewed on Wednesday, the workflow, achievements and development
projects taking place at the Directorate General of Security and Ports
Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police. In his meeting with Brigadier General Dr.
Saif Bu Dhufaira Al Ameri, Director General of Security and Ports
Affairs, he also examined the work mechanisms at the directorate,
carried out according to the best quality standards.
During the
meeting, which was held at the Directorate General of Security and Ports
Affairs and attended by heads of departments, the attendees screened a
documentary film showcasing the organizational structures of the various
departments, as well as the visions and values that the directorate
endeavors diligently to achieve, in line with the vision and mission of
Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. The documentary film also
highlighted the initiatives of the Security and ports Affairs’
affiliated Departments, the key projects already implemented, the
international accreditations, and the security-related awards received
by these departments.
H.E Mohammed Al Rumaithi also awarded new
ranks to five officers from the Forensic Evidence, Weapons and
Explosives, Ports and Airports Police and Crime Scene Departments. He
wished the promoted officers luck and success in performing the duties
and tasks assigned to them, and expressed his hope that this promotion
would serve as an incentive for them and their colleagues to pursue
further development and modernization efforts.
His Excellency
expressed admiration of the achievements made and praised the role of
the Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs in maintaining
security and stability in the country. He also asserted that the
security system of Abu Dhabi Police is based on the integrated team
concept, which recognizes that crime prevention requires good teamwork,
and the need to provide distinguished police services that meet the
needs of all community members.
For his part, Brigadier General
Al Ameri stated that the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police’s
visit reflects the great attention dedicated by the Police leadership
to follow up on projects and achievements. It also reflects the police
leadership’s keenness to identify the key challenges and opportunities
to improve capabilities and enhance procedures, and to encourage the
usage of modern technologies, which has become a prominent feature of
the Abu Dhabi Police’s services to its customers, including individuals
and institutions. Moreover, Brigadier General Al Ameri added: “All these
achievements were possible thanks to the unwavering commitment of the
different police leaders to implement the directives set by the Higher
Leadership to attain the aspirations and pursue continuous development
to upgrade police services according to the highest international
standards and practices.”
Brigadier General Al Ameri noted that
the Directorate General of the Security and Ports Affairs has provided
several development initiatives in all areas of work related to the
ports and airports security, forensic evidence, weapons and explosives,
in addition to the security inspection and crime scene work. “The
directorate has also provided high-end services to its customers, and
endeavored to improve competencies as an effective crime fighting tool,
in addition to enhancing technical and security procedures to ensure an
efficient timely response to maintain security and stability,” he
continued.
In conclusion, he said that in pursuance of Abu Dhabi
Police’s strategic plans, numerous initiatives have been achieved, and
international accreditations have been obtained in specialized work, in
addition to the introduction of new systems that contribute to promoting
police work.
