Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Thursday, November 25th 2010 [ME NewsWire]:
Al Aan TV received special and exclusive information from Mehdi Hashemi Rafsanjani, son of former Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani, after the Iranian authorities reissued an arrest warrant against him and set out to cuff him down as soon as he gets back to the country, in response to the message he conveyed to the Prosecutor in Tehran Mr. Abadi, affirming his wish to return to his homeland, on the condition of undergoing a fair trial, far from political and security pressures.
Mrs. Nisreen Sadek, Head of News department, had conducted an exclusive interview with Faezah Hashemi Rafsanjani, daughter of the former Iranian President, where she raised various topics, chiefly the circumstances surrounding the case of her brother Mehdi’s. Fabrication of files by the Iranian authorities was pointed out, in addition to falsely creating non-legitimate problems as well as taking confessions against him from some prisoners - an act which violates the law. The interview will soon be aired on Al Aan TV.
On a parallel note, Nisreen Sadek unveils her meeting with Mehdi Rafsanjani whilst the social interaction with the family of Mrs. Faezah Rafsanjani, during which Mehdi confirmed exclusively to Al Aan his desire to return to his homeland, under the condition of undergoing a fair trial far from the political and security pressures burdened on his family in Iran.
Jenan Moussa, Assignment Supervisor, traced the resurfacing of Mehdi’s case to the wish of the Prosecutor in Tehran Mr. Abadi to reaffirm the arrest warrant against Mehdi, who will be taken into custody as the moment he steps foot in country. This came as a reply to Mehdi’s desire to return to Tehran on certain conditions.
A crucial question imposes itself: Will Mehdi Rafsanjani come back to Iran amid the current political turbulence?
