The Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), one of the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority initiatives, obtained the ISO 27001:2005 certificate, aiming to establish an information security management system (ISMS). The information security management standard “ISO 27001:2005” will help (aeCERT) to maintain and evaluate its procedures and policies that follow best practices and international standards. It will also ensure business continuity and minimize business damages.
H.E Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General, said: “We are not only looking forward to keep up with the latest developments in the area of information security but also to ensure best standards while conducting our tasks. Obtaining ISO 27001:2005 certificate will increase (aeCERT) knowledge in assisting constituents to obtain ISO by providing frameworks. ”.
