Waka Launches its Latin American Festive Evenings El Merkado

Experience the Authentic Latin American Vibe at Waka Dubai

Waka, the Dubai-based multi awarded Peruvian Restaurant, recently launched its Latin American festive evenings El Merkado offering its guests the authentic vibes of its home country Peru from its distinguished location at the luxurious Oberoi Hotel, in Business Bay, Dubai.

Inspired by Latin American vibrant parties featuring live  music, food and drinks stations; the El Merkado evenings will be organized on Thursdays from 8:30pm till 1:30am, taking you in a charming trip to the midst of Latin America’s street nightlife with live music by Havana Mc.

The event’s decoration is inspired from the colorful traditional Peruvian Carnival’s celebration called Yunza. It includes a Latin craft market, along with live food stations showing how to prepare delicious Latin American dishes including Peru’s most famous dish Ceviche. Peruvian renowned DJ Chillcano will be playing body-shaking Latin tunes until late night.

Commenting on El Merkado evenings, Roberto Segura Executive Chef, Co- Founder & Creator of Waka Restaurant & Bar noted, “Nothing compares to a Latin evening with the right ambience, food, drinks and music, and this is what El Merkado is all about. The newly launched event will give guests the desired getaway on Thursday nights after their long working week.”

Guests can choose to have pre-dinner drinks at the bar, or experience signature drinks creation at their table. Dining options during El Merkado evenings range from lighter options in the bar/lounge area to a full menu offering at the table with signature dishes that are cooked right in front of you.
