Ajman Residency Discusses Issuing Visa Mechanism for Tourism, Medical Treatments, and Study

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman discussed the mechanism to activate the new visa issuing system created under the Ministerial Resolution No. 22 for the year 2014. The new visa issuing system concerns the regulation and development of the services of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Section which includes visas for tourism, medical treatments, and study.
The discussion was held during the meeting of the committee responsible for reviewing the issuance of visas for tourism, medical treatments, and study. The meeting was held at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman and chaired by Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Alwan, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman.
Brigadier Alwan stressed the importance of the decision to amend some of the regulations of the Entry and Residence of Foreigners Law. The amendment is in accordance with the UAE Vision 2021 which aims to place the UAE among the best countries in the world by responding to the requests from the community and by supporting economic activities, tourism, and social development.
“The new resolutions issued by the UAE leadership are to achieve service quality and efficiency in accordance with the expectations customers have of the UAE’s Federal Government,” Brigadier Alwan said. “With each of the country’s accomplishments, the expectations of the customers rise in the various spheres of life. The Naturalization, Residency, and Ports Affairs Sector is a vital sector that deals with each segment of society, and must keep pace with the aspirations of the customers in order to address their current and future needs.  It is vital that the Entry and Residence of Foreigners Law consistently remain in accordance with the principle of achieving customer satisfaction,” he said.
Brigadier Alwan stressed the commitment of the UAE Government to maintain the quality of life the UAE society enjoys and to embody the strategy of the Ministry of Interior. The objective of the strategy is to be in accordance with the best international standards and to provide excellent services that enhance the confidence of the public and increase customer satisfaction.

Colonel Khaled Hamad Bu Shihab, Head of Legal Affairs Section; Lt. Colonel Ahmad Ibrahim Al Mana’i, Head of Entry Permits and Residency Department; Lt. Colonel Adil Abdullah Al Shamesi, Head of Entry Permit Section; and Captain Hamid Abdullah Al Matroushi, Head of Foreign Offices Section.
