ADP scholarship student is First Emirati to graduate from the Turkish Police Academy



 ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, June 30th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan honored Emirati student Mubarak Saleem Darbouh Al Ameri, an employee at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, for being the first Emirati graduate from the Faculty of Security Sciences at the Turkish Police Academy in Ankara, Turkey.

The graduation ceremony of the 68th batch of students from the Faculty of Security Sciences was held recently at the Turkish Police Academy in the capital city. Muammer Guler, Turkish Minister of Interior, and a representative of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Ankara attended the ceremony.

Lt. Colonel Khalid Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department in Abu Dhabi Police, expressed his happiness for the honoring of the Emirati student, Mubarak Al Ameri, and reiterated the commitment to send students abroad to study under the directives of the police leadership. Sending students abroad enables them to hone their skills, develop their intellectual and practical capacities, learn from foreign experiences, and continue their education. The department upholds direct communication with students, carries out field visits to their schools, and ensures that the academic and social conditions are favorable.

He said that the vision of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented by the Human Resources General Directorate, (Department of Education), focuses on providing cadres with skills, qualifications, knowledge and distinguished security, administrative, and technical disciplines so as to enhance developmental efforts.

The graduate student Mubarak Al Ameri is the first Emirati to earn a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Security Sciences at the Turkish Police Academy. His scholarship period spanned over four years and was crowned with success and excellence.

Al Ameri dedicated his success to the United Arab Emirates, his dear homeland and to its senior leadership, his superiors at work, his family, and everyone who supported him. He said: “It’s my pride to see the United Arab Emirates’ flag fluttering at the Turkish Police Academy. As the first Emirati and Gulf graduate from this academy, I pledge to do my best in different work fields, influence development, and continue to serve my beloved country.”
