Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services Begins Education and Training Collaboration with Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai, UAE

Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, the global subsidiary of Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, United States of America, has entered into an agreement with Dubai Healthcare City to provide education and training initiatives at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center is the education and research arm of Dubai Healthcare City. The facility  is a dedicated academic complex that houses a number of facilities to support continuous professional development programs and research that promote Dubai Healthcare City’s healthcare education and research mission.

Under this agreement, Houston Methodist will provide proven expertise in medical education and training. This expertise includes experience gained from its existing academic training institute, the Methodist Institute of Technology, Innovation & Education (MITIE) as well as the Center for Professional Excellence in Nursing Education, Research & Practice located in Houston, Texas.

This collaboration will include clinical training courses, continuing medical education (CME) programs through access to the Houston Methodist International Lecture Series, as well as conferences and symposia.

As part of this agreement, the first lecture series has already taken place covering the topic of diabetes and critical care.
