ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, November 24th 2013

The Al Ain Police Directorate, represented by the Community Police and the “Hemma” community media team, participated in the “Yalssat Al Freej Program,” which was held recently at the Al Tawya Park. The event was organized by the Family Development Foundation in Al Ain. The event will continue until November 28th.

The program included a religious awareness-raising lecture at the park for children and their parents. Senior Preacher Dr. Mohammed Yassin from the Awareness and Protection teams in the Community Police addressed different topics in his lecture including: the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ in spreading awareness among society through the Community Police; the value of love and loyalty to the country through hard work, offering all one can for it, and the importance of celebrating the Day of the Flag. He also stressed the importance for parents to keep an eye on their children regarding their use of social media, in a way that benefits them and protects them from ill behavior.

The “Hemma” community media team participated as an initiative adopted by Al Ain Police for communication with children through an outstanding show presented by the child, Shamma Al Kaaby. She commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and the Family Development Foundation, for deeply establishing the values of communication and solidarity among the members of society through these community initiatives.

The role of the “Hemma” community media team was highlighted; the team includes five members: the leader child, the consultant child, the promising lecturer, the media man, and the translator. The role of the team is to spread the police’s social role, the commitment of leadership in child care, and organizing events and activities thereby making use of talents and activating its role with the police.

The children presented awareness messages to the families of love and loyalty to the country and its leader.

Shamma Al Kaaby recited a poem about love for the UAE, which was received well by the audience; Hassa Mattar, a student, delivered a poem within the talent discovery section. The children and their families interacted with the contests and awards section following the presentations.
