Abu Dhabi Police Encourages Good Citizenship Value.

 During a lecture organized by the Peripheral Regions Directorate, the Abu Dhabi Police stressed the importance of good citizenship values and discussed increasing the interest in caring about Emirati families by encouraging marriage among Emiratis to enhance family stability and uplifting social values.
The lecture was held at the Bani Yas Police Station and attended by Lt. Colonel Hameed Mohammed Al Afari, Bani Yas Police Station Manager, and Major Nasser Abdul Rahman Al Zaabi. A number of the officers and workers at the Peripheral Regions Directorate and the Bani Yas Police Station also attended the lecture.
Dr. Amal Balhoul the psychiatrist advisor at the Watani Al Emarat Foundation delivered the lecture and stressed that national identity is one of the utmost priorities that every citizen should demonstrate wherever he is. She discussed the fact that there are various definitions and concepts of national identity and what it means; some people see it being related to historic traditions and values while others see it as the language. She also tackled the prominent role good citizenship plays in the revival and developmental processes carried out on various levels across the state, which are an integral part of the safety and stability that the country is enjoying.
Lt. Colonel Al Afari asserted the importance of fostering good citizenship values to enhance social solidarity through developing a strategy to create an environment that joins all segments of society. He also clarified the role of good citizenship in strengthening the cultural and traditional heritage in Emirati society, solidifying genuine Emirati principles, and elevating social responsibility towards individuals and institutions through encouraging volunteer work.
The Bani Yas Police station manager honored the speaker at the end of the lecture by handing her a commemorative shield; he praised her efforts in organizing the lecture to raise awareness and cultural knowledge.
