Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre selects Etisalat Facilities Management to Provide Maintenance Services for the Centre




ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Sunday, December 26th 2010 [ME NewsWire]:

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has selected Etisalat Facilities Management LLC (EFM), a member of Etisalat Services Holding LLC of Abu Dhabi, to provide electro-mechanical and civil engineering facilities maintenance services for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and its various facilities; in which it will be utilizing state-of-the-art technologies in maintenance, especially the Computer Maintenance Management Software Maximo - SP and the Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) Technology.



The three years agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed Khoori, Director of Support Services Department at the Centre and Engineer Mustafa Ahmed Al Ateek, General Manager of Etisalat Facilities Management, in the ceremony which was held at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi.



The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, Engineer Jamal Al Saaedi, Director of Operations for Abu Dhabi Region at EFM, Engineer Mohammed Abou Laban Senior Manager/ Strategy and Business Development at Etisalat FM, Engineer Husam Al Abwah, Director for Design and Consultancy at Etisalat FM and Mr. Henry Hollaway, Senior Manager for HSE at Etisalat FM.



"The choice of Etisalat Facilities Management was made based on a detailed technical offer that was submitted by EFM to run and maintain the facilities of the Grand Mosque using the latest technologies and methods," said Khoori.



"The Centre will be liaising with Etisalat FM on daily basis to make sure that all the Grand Mosque facilities are running smoothly," he added.



Engineer Mustafa Al Ateek praised the agreement saying "it is an honor for Etisalat FM to carry out the maintenance and facilities management services of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque."



"It is a great responsibility for us and we will put all efforts to make sure that the facilities are run to the highest standards in such an important religious monument that became an important tourist destination in the UAE," Ateek added.



"The maintenance teams will be available round the clock at the Grand Mosque to provide regular and preventive maintenance works as well as attending all emergencies. The work will follow the highest international standards and all monitoring will be carried out using Maximo. This would allow The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre Management team to access the maintenance reports online," he said.
