Major General Al Nuaimi Urges Police Recruits to Continue Development and to Apply Best Global Practices


Met with a Selection of Distinguished Officers who Passed Specialized Courses


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, August 27th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, urged police recruits to redouble their efforts in applying the best international practices and to continue developing further in order to implement quality standards. He also encouraged them to keep abreast of new developments in the fields of education and the specialized trainings that have been implemented in police agencies throughout developed countries.   The secretary general met with two elite groups of distinguished officers at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ today, Wednesday. The first group included 31 officers from the bureau of experts batch No. 24.  These officers have completed the graduation requirements in levels of higher education, professional standards, and leadership for the Abu Dhabi Police College. The second group is comprised of 14 officers who have successfully completed specialized courses in the United States at Harvard University, and have earned strong training skills in accordance with the best international practices.

Major General Al Nuaimi congratulated all officers, urging them to enhance police work by honing their skills and experiences with the standing practices and to leverage the knowledge gained through various police training. Major General Al Nuaimi also wished for them to progress in excellence as they implement their police duties and responsibilities to the community. He also encouraged them to redouble their efforts in order to provide the best education and training services for future police recruits.

The meetings with the two groups were attended by Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of HH the Minister; Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Head of the Training Department at Abu Dhabi Police; Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department at the Abu Dhabi Police; and members of the committee supervising the qualification of the officers of bureau experts.

The trainees addressed the importance of the information they had gained through the specialized courses and that they will apply what they have learned in order to realistically serve the policing environment and enhance the efforts of improving security and safety. Moreover, the graduated officers expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the police leadership and the unlimited support provided to them by all police staff members. Such support has strengthened their educational efforts and achieves the meaning of what police work entails.
