Thinklogical demonstrates the Next Generation of Image Processing
MILFORD, Conn. - Tuesday, April 12th 2011 [ME NewsWire]
2011 NAB Show
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Thinklogical, a worldwide provider of fiber optic infrastructure, extension and routing systems for the broadcast and post-production industries, will be showcasing the new ImageEvolution X3 at NAB 2011 (Booth SL10023). The X3 provides professional broadcasters with an easy to use method for converting and scaling 2D and 3D video signals. Unique in the broadcast marketplace the product offers progressive, interlaced and PsF input/output supported formats, and the ability to separate left eye/right eye processing to optimize 3D editing and broadcasting. The X3 also supports the processing of ancillary date (i.e., Closed Caption and Time Codes) and pass-thru of a custom DID/SDID pair.
The ImageEvolution X3 supports SD, HD, Dual-link HD and 3G (level A and B) SDI input and output formats. The X3 is equipped with a full breadth of video processing capabilities to support the conversion of dual-link HD-SDI to single link 3G-SDI and the conversion of a 3D left/right image input to a 2D image output such as, left eye/right eye processing to optimize 3D program development and broadcasting.
Using the X3, editor suites have the ability to separate left eye from right eye images and control editing of each image independently. Once editing has been completed, the X3 is able to either broadcast the content in 2D format or merge the left eye/right eye images to enhance video quality for 3D programming output.
The X3 also supports per-pixel motion-adaptive video noise reduction which removes the white Gaussian noise present in most types of video, content-adaptive block and mosquito noise reduction which significantly reduces these artifacts present in compressed video, natural depth expansion, and adaptive scaling. Moreover, this all can be done in real-time which will ultimately save users time and money, while providing exceptional image results.
“The X3 offers broadcast professionals the most robust set of video processing technologies available, and will maximize returns on production costs for movie and television programming,” states Kevin Keefe, Vice President of Engineering. “The ability toprovide up to 20 user programmable presets makes image conversion and scaling requirements effortless.”
Users are able to control the ImageEvolution X3 through its front panel multi-function selector and LCD display, and a user-selectable RS-232C or RS-422 port is available for remote control of the unit. An internal universal AC power supply, means no wall wart, so the product can easily be stand-alone or rack mounted.
The Image Evolution X3 will be on display at the NAB 2011 show, booth SL10023, demonstrating how broadcast professionals can easily expand their editing capabilities as well as their 2D and 3D broadcasting options.
