ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, March 27th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The protocol officers at the Ministry of Interior are finalizing their preparations to receive the guests that will be attending the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2014). A total of 30 protocol officers from various departments at the Ministry of Interior were trained and qualified during the “Protocol and Ceremonies” course that was recently organized by the Secretariat of the Higher Organizing Committee of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2014, at the Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The course focused on raising awareness of participating officers on the principles of protocol and etiquette, as well as the means to prepare and host VIP guests and dignitaries’ visits, with a view to reflect a distinguished image that befits the development of the UAE’s society.
It is worth mentioning that the course embodies the Higher Organizing Committee’s keenness to prepare and qualify protocol officers that are assigned with the task of accompanying VIP guests and delegations participating in the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2014), in line with the preparations to host this event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 1-3 April.
Moreover, the three-day course included theoretical and practical lectures, highlighting some of the important and fundamental aspects of the protocol profession; including body language, eye contact, good greeting and introduction manners, and the proper way to escort VIPs and guests. The lectures were presented by Yasmine Debsi from the Emirates Academy.
At the end of the course, certificates were distributed to the graduates.
