Skydivers to perform in Inflight Dubai’s wind tunnel

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, -Tuesday 20 November 2018 [ AETOS Wire ]

Skydivers will perform aerobatic feats in Inflight Dubai’s indoor wind tunnel on November 24th. Ten special triathlete children will have the chance to fly with some of the world’s best skydivers, and an additional five special children have been invited to participate in the games activities will fly with the skydivers during the show. VIPs and dignitaries are expected to attend the event, which is being presented by the Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group.

The impressive line-up for the event includes coaches Rob Jones and Matt Munting, David junior Ludvik in addition to Laurie Laubbe, French freestyle skydiver; Abdulbari Qubaisi, Yemen’s first World Canopy Champion; Nadia Adam Ali, Yemen’s first female skydiver, and her children seven-year-old Amaan and nine-year-old Zahra; and the Inflight Crew: Hinda; Dave; Arthur; Muzammil; Richard; and Tron.

“This is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic events on this year's calendar, and it’s guaranteed to put smiles on the faces of everyone involved,” said Nadia Adam Ali.

Describing it as ‘a gymnastics routine in the air’, Nadia explained that children as young as three years old could start tunnel flying with the right training and practice.

A natural coach, Rob Jones started tunnel flying in 2007 and he prides himself on being able to bring out the best in people. He has competed successfully in both international vertical formation skydiving competitions and dynamic tunnel flying. With a talent for helping people overcome their fears, he enjoys coaching children.

Rob said, “Tunnel flying is a fun sport for everyone, but it is always the youngest flyers who most surprise me.”

Matt Munting turned to tunnel flying while on a break from skydiving after an accident in 2012. Matt believes in the importance of safety first; he loves passing on his skills and his students know they are in very safe hands. He is now a member of the Sky Dubai team, an enthusiastic wingsuit flyer and a BASE jumper.

By promoting cognitive, lateral and logical thinking, skydiving helps children expand their horizons. Participants will receive a certificate after the event.
