The Police Schools Department has won the General Excellence Shield of the Human Resources Director General’s Championship, after winning the Six-a-side Football Tournament at the Abu Dhabi Police Human Resources Director General’s Cup. This came at the conclusion of the sports program that takes place for the General Directorate of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police and its affiliated departments, which was organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with the Sports Committee at the General Directorate of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police. Seven teams from the general directorate participated in the program, which included three tournaments: the Six-a-side Football Tournament, the Pistol Shooting Tournament and the Road Race Tournament.
The final ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Deputy Director General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier General Ali Obeid Al Darmaki, Director of Personnel at the General Department of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Head of the Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police; Lt. Colonel Mohamed Saeed Al Kaabi, Head of the ADP Sports Committee; and a number of officers from the General Directorate of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police.
The Police Schools Department’s team won the Six-a-side Football Tournament after defeating the Human Resources Planning Department’s team, by 1-0. The Human Resources Planning Department’s team came second, while the Education Department’s team came in third.
At the Pistol Shooting Tournament, the Police Schools Department’s team won; the Education Department’s team came second; while the Assignment Department’s team came third. At the Road Race tournament, the Police Schools Department’s team came first; the Planning Department’s team came second; while the Assignment Department’s team came third.
At the end of the ceremony, Brigadier General Jassem Al Marzouqui, accompanied by Brigadier General Ali Obeid Al Darmaki and Lt. Colonel Mohamed Saeed Al Kaabi, honored the referees of the championship and the winners of the team and individual Pistol Shooting competitions. At the individual Pistol Shooting competition, Major Hussein Al Juneibi from the Police Schools came first; Captain Khaled Mohammed came second; First Lieutenant Abdullah Ghanim came third; Lieutenant Hanan Al Kathiri came fourth; and policeman Ibrahim Abdullah came fifth.
Winning teams and individuals at the Road Race competitions were also honored. Asman bin Al Fahim from the Police Schools came first; Hassan Ahmed Al Tunaiji from the Human Resources Planning Department came second; Abdul Qadir Razouqi from the Education Department came third; Ahmed Ali Mohammed from the Police Schools Department came fourth; and Ali Ahmed Sweidin from the Police Schools Department came fifth.
Brigadier General Al Marzouqui presented the top scorer’s award at the Six-a-side Football Tournament to Rashid Al Shamesi from the Education Department, while Ahmed Jad from the Police Schools Department was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
Brigadier General Al Marzouqui also received the General Excellence Shield for the Shooting Tournament from the head of the Sports Committee at the Abu Dhabi Police, as the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s team won the championship that was held at the shooting range at Al-Khedira, Sharjah. ADP GHQs from across the country participated in the program that is organized by the Police Sports Association.
Brigadier General Al Marzouqui received the Taekwondo Tournament Cup from First Lieutenant Aminah Al Mazroui. The tournament was recently held in Sweden, where the Abu Dhabi Police’s Female Taekwondo Team won two gold medals and one silver medal.
