ADP: Graduation for Security Support Foundation Course

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, March 6th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

Abu Dhabi Police’s Security Support Section celebrated the graduation of participants of its second foundation course at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club, in the presence of a large number of officers, experts and teachers.

In his speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Saeed Ali Al Shamesi, Chief of the Security Support Section, said that the course focused on self-defense, physical fitness, first aid, and swimming skills.

He also stressed the importance of such courses in enhancing expertise and earning cumulative skills, pointing out Abu Dhabi Police's keenness to keep up with work and training developments based on the best international standards.

At the end of his speech, Al Shamesi congratulated the graduates and thanked all departments and sections for their active cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police’s Security Support Section. He also distributed certificates to the graduates. First Policeman Abdul-Aziz Mosbeh Al Shamesi ranked first in the overall course; First Policeman Mohammed Abdullah Salim Rafie received first place in physical fitness; First Policeman Haytham Nasser Mohsen received first place in perseverance; Policeman Mustajed Abdullah Hassan received first place in shooting, while First Policeman Mohamed Saif Al Hassani lead the graduates in the faculty procession during the celebration.

The first foundation course was held in March of 2013 and was attended by 26 members from the Security Support Section. Upon completion of the four-month course, participants joined the advanced course, which covered skills development in cooperation with other departments.
