To grant client service excellence diploma

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed
Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, witnessed today the
signing ceremony of an agreement between the Ministry of Interior and Etisalat
Academy. The agreement introduces a diploma on client service excellence. It
aims to improve the skills of front-desk employees who provide services to the
public and elevate them to international standards.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al
Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, and Ali Mohammed Al
Sharid, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding, signed the contract at the Abu Dhabi
Police GHQ. The ceremony was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al
Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Interior; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of
Central Operations; Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, Etisalat Group's Chief Executive
Officer; Ali Al-Qayedi, Acting General Manager, Etisalat Academy; and a number
of top officers and officials from both sides.
HH Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Interior expressed his happiness for this national cooperation that
aims to serve the sons of the homeland and clients alike. His Highness said:
“One of our main duties as officials in the country is to search for
distinguished human resources, qualify them, and give them the opportunity to
create and innovate.”
His Highness stressed his confidence
in the sons of the homeland for their excellence in many fields, as proven in
many cases and many experiences locally and internationally.
Furthermore, Lt. General Saif
Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, said:
“The client service excellence diploma project is a new initiative
launched by the Ministry of Interior to improve the services provided to the
public. Our services are priorities that the ministry is developing in order to
meet high performance levels. We aim to achieve a qualitative step to implement
different standards, and mainly improve human resources via a scientific
approach that is supervised by academics. This will enable us to achieve the
highest levels of client satisfaction.”
He added: “Joining the program of
the client service excellence diploma is available to all employees who serve
internal and external clients. Participants will be chosen based on certain
terms and conditions set by the Client Service Department at the ministry. At
the end of the course, the trainee will obtain a professional diploma that
proves he/she has gained the knowledge, expertise, and practices related to
client services.
This program is designed based on
experimental education. It uses video and audio tools as well as introducing
theoretical and practical lectures to enable trainees to obtain knowledge and
expertise necessary for client servicing.”

Holding welcomed this cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to grant the
client service excellence diploma to the ministry’s employees. He said: “We are
honored to take part in developing employee performance at the ministry’s front
desks, so that they can provide the best services. This is congruent to the
strategic goals of the Ministry of Interior and is in line with the vision of
Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan to make the service quality a
top priority for the ministry.”
He added: “We have utilized our
long-standing expertise in training and excellence in client servicing to
design the training courses specifically for the employees at the Ministry of
Interior. The courses aim to provide them with knowledge, expertise, and
capabilities necessary for their work field. With this training they can
deliver the best services to clients and public members at the level required
by the ministry.”
This diploma is related to the
strategic plan of the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to
maintain the public’s trust in its high-quality police services. It aims to
utilize human resources through training and developing the capabilities of the
employees, service providers, and receptionists across all sectors of the
ministry and the Abu Dhabi Police.
The diploma was designed in
cooperation with the Etisalat Academy in Dubai to conform to the requirements
of the Ministry of Interior, specifically for the ministry’s employees across
all sectors. It is based on the highest international standards in client
service, as well as the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program, in
order to improve the employees’ expertise, skills and knowledge in client
service, excellence and professional skills.
The four-month diploma program is
recognized locally and internationally. It is provided via Etisalat Academy, in
cooperation with the International Business Training Association (IBTA).
Graduates will obtain the Certified Business Professional (CBP) certificate in
client service.
