Within its Golden Jubilee Celebrations
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, September 25th 2013 [ME NewsWire]
Coinciding
with its Golden Jubilee celebrations held on Tuesday, the Abu Dhabi
Police Music Band performed traditional and popular music pieces at the
Al Ittihad School-Cycle 3 for Boys in Abu Dhabi. The celebration came
within its program to perform its national and popular music in the
public schools of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region.
The
school administration, teachers, and students enjoyed watching the Abu
Dhabi Police Music Band’s performances and listening to its musical
pieces, which were highly acclaimed during the morning parade. The music
band presented a number of its distinguished songs starting with the
National Anthem, Dary Alamha, Allah Ya Dar Zayed, and others.
The
Abu Dhabi Police’s participation reflects its commitment to participate
in various societal events stemming from its strong belief in the
importance of music in people's lives. It also reflects the police’s
ongoing dedication to keep pace with events in society.
Moreover,
the music band toured amid the warm applause from teachers and
students. The performances included percussion and wind instruments,
which were highly praised by the audience. The band’s members revived
popular traditional music through a number of national pieces.
The
Abu Dhabi Police Music Band was established in July 1963, and currently
offers national and traditional music for the public in several places
throughout September and October 2013. It will also continue its program
that coincides with the Golden Jubilee celebrations until December with
celebrations to mark the UAE National Day.
