Visit to the Fujairah Punitive and Correctional Establishments and Center for Traffic and Licensing

Lt.
General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of
Interior, urged the staff members working in the centers and departments
of the Fujairah Police General Headquarters (GHQ) to promptly complete
customer transactions, and to review and facilitate procedures. “The UAE
is witnessing significant growth and is rapidly developing in all
fields and at various levels,” said Lt. General Al Sha’far. In order to
achieve the vision and strategy of the MoI, he stressed the importance
of putting forth creative initiatives in order to rise up to the highest
ranks and in utilizing electronic services to keep up with the
developments.
The Undersecretary at the MoI reviewed the workflow
and services at the Center for Traffic and Licensing, as well as at the
Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Fujairah. Lt. General Al
Sha’far underscored the importance of further developing police work in
order to provide quality services to the public, and to respond to the
directives of the higher leadership of enhancing security and safety in
accordance with the highest international standards.
Upon his
arrival at the Fujairah Center for Traffic and Licensing, he was
welcomed by Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi,
Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, director generals, acting
directors of the centers, and a number of other officers. Lt. General Al
Sha’far toured the Center where he was briefed on the services provided
to the customers and on the recent efforts that have resulted in the
5-star rating by the Federal Customer Service Centers Classification.
The Fujairah Police GHQ, represented by the Center for Traffic and
Licensing, has become the first entity at the level of the MoI to
receive this outstanding classification.
Additionally, Lt.
General Al Sha’far commended the efforts of the staff members of the
departments and centers, and appreciated the internal and external
accomplishments and accolades they have achieved. Lt. General Al Sha’far
was also briefed during his visit to the Punitive and Correctional
Establishments in Fujairah where he reviewed the progress of their work.
He also urged to give the inmates all of the attention, care, and means
of comfort in accordance with the best practices established.
Lt.
General Al Sha’far met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah
Police, director generals, and department heads. The attendees reviewed
the strategic performance indicators, statistics of the number of
inmates, and the most important achievements and opportunities for
improvement.
The Undersecretary at the MoI stressed that the UAE
has achieved the highest components of stability, security, and
tranquility for all citizens and residents. “The UAE is a forerunner as
one of the most secure countries in the world, thanks to the support of
the higher leadership in forming a modern police. The provided security
facilities and installations throughout the UAE are equipped with
state-of-the-art equipment, modern technologies, and qualified personnel
who have the highest levels of expertise and knowledge in all areas,”
said Lt. General Al Sha’far.
At the conclusion of the visit,
Brigadier Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Al Fujairah Police, thanked
the Undersecretary of the MoI for his visit. The visit emphasizes the
interest and keenness of officials in providing all of the requirements
for the police leadership across the UAE. This support enables the
police to carry out the tasks that have been entrusted to them in order
to achieve security and stability within the country.
