ADP: 26 Trainees Complete Detainee Handling Course

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, January 24th 2014

 The Punitive & Correctional Institutions Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 26 participants who completed the third course on methods of handling detainees and convicts (Advanced Level “A-Level”).

During the ceremony, Colonel Saeed Hassan Al Yammahi, Security Information Branch Manager at the department, congratulated the graduates for successfully passing the course. He urged them to apply the best practices and programs as per the international standards in dealing with detainees and convicts. He also wished them success and luck in their careers, stressing the importance of self-improvement and enrolling in training courses to keep abreast of the latest developments in work areas.

Moreover, Al Yammahi commended the Training Department’s role in undertaking the training process, as well as its commitment and attention towards the Punitive & Correctional Institutions’ staff members.  He also thanked the specialized training companies and all those who contributed to this program’s success, in order to develop the performance of the Punitive Reformatory Establishments and allow them to keep pace with international best practices.
