Turkish Gallery takes place in Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Exhibition Centre


Riyadh ,Saudi Arabia - Thursday, March 3rd 2011 [ME NewsWire]

Inaugurated on Sunday,February 27, 2011 the first exhibition of Turkish Art by the famousTurkish artist Nevin Karayagizin the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiain Riyadh was open to the pulic for three days at thePrinceFaisalbinFahd Exhibition Center. The Gallery was under theauspices and patronage of the Ministryof Culture and Information and theTurkish Embassy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiain Riyadh.

This event was held in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Ahmet Muhtar Gün, and His Excellency the Deputy Secretary for International Cultural Relations Mr. Abdulaziz bin Salama.

The exhibition comprisedof 34 paintings which highlighted the beauty and splendor of various citiesin Turkey.

Mr. Gün has expressed his pleasure to see such cultural activities take place in Riyadh. “It further enhances the solidarity and cooperation between Turkey and the Arab world and it brings intellectuals together from both countries in one place to share ideas and become closer”, said Mr. Gün.

NEVİN KARAYAĞIZ: born in Istanbul and Fine Arts graduate from Istanbul Ortaköy Zübeyde Hanım Professional High School in 1981. Nevin tutored ceramic practice in Sabancı Maturity Institute in 2002 and taught art and crafts, ceramic and the traditional art of Ebru for 3 years in İSMEK ( Istanbul Municipality Profession Acquiring Courses ) She also took art courses from Telmur AĞALİOĞLU, Haluk EVİTAN and David UGRELIDZE. Ms. Karayagiz also participated in four exhibitions in Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya.
