Singapore Exchange Selects Clerity for $3M USD Mainframe Migration

Mainframe rehosting project to lower costs and optimize IT environment

Clerity is migrating SGX’s entire mainframe complex, including key applications such as clearing and settlement, third-party tools and utilities, and server and storage resources to a flexible open systems environment.

In addition to the UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software, SGX is using Veryant’s vCOBOL Enterprise software in the project to migrate SGX’s IBM CICS applications, batch JCL code, COBOL programs and VSAM data intact, using a mainframe rehosting approach that will avoid costly code changes and enable SGX clients to continue accessing its systems without reconfiguration. Veryant’s vCOBOL Enterprise is a powerful alternative to legacy COBOL dialects. It will be used at SGX to preserve migrated mainframe COBOL code and reduce costs without sacrificing performance or availability.
