Al Baddad International Sets Up Halls for Souk Okaz Opening

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Wednesday, September 29th 2010 [ME NewsWire]:
Al Baddad International has concluded equipping mobile halls and furnishings in preparation for the opening ceremony of Souk Okaz that signals the kick-off of rich cultural activities. The events of the Souk, in its fourth edition, will be inaugurated under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, in Arfaa in Taif. HRH Prince Khalid al-Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Makkah and Chairman of the Higher Supervisory Committee of Souk Okaz will also attend the mega cultural event.

Al Baddad has succeeded in building ten mobile halls with an area of 8,500 square meters in record time; less than twenty days. All the halls are distinguished for their high quality and remarkable height of around nine meters, with no pillars inside that may impede the movement of participants and visitors.

Special attention was given to the main hall, known as the “smart hall”, with an area of 5,250 square meters, housing bleachers that can seat more than 3,000 people. This hall is unique, given its availability in the market and its steadiness, and Al Baddad is the first company to construct such a hall in the Middle East and North Africa. The other surrounding halls are set up to be used as offices, waiting halls and support services facilities.

All the halls and equipment are characterized with high quality that surpasses internationally-recognized standards of security and safety. Only comparable to fixed buildings of the highest quality, the halls are also fireproof and heat insulated.

Al Baddad International prides itself to take part in this prominent touristic and cultural event, playing a role in replenishing the touristic glamour of Taif, thanks to the festivities that are to take place in Makkah, in keeping up with the development programs of the sector of archaeology, museums and events.

The team of Al Baddad International would like to extend wishes of good health to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and members of the Higher Supervisory Committee, alongside everyone who contributes to the success of this project. Al Baddad is also well known for its unique participation in the success of major cultural, religious and social events.
