Pyramedia, regional leader in the media broadcasting industry and winner of multiple media awards, has been announced as the latest addition to the continuously growing international network of AIB partners. This announcement comes close on the heels of Pyramedia’s recent wins at the Gulf Radio and Television awards in Bahrain last month where Pyramedia CEO Dr. Nashwa Al Ruwaini had stressed the importance of regional media companies to not only continue delivering quality content but also laid emphasis on the need for local and regional organizations to play their collective part in showcasing the Arab talent on the world stage.

Speaking on the occasion of the announcement, Dr. Al Ruwaini, who is also an Academy member of the International Emmy Awards and a member of the international jury of the AIB’s annual factual awards, said “Pyramedia’s membership with the AIB is another conscious step in its international development. At the same time, Pyramedia remains true to its vision of being part of a global knowledge network that enables exchange of ideas, thoughts and intelligence. We are delighted to be part of the AIB family and aspire to promote more business opportunities for our region with other AIB members across the globe.” When asked how exactly this membership would be beneficial to the region, she added “As one of the leading players in the broadcast and media production industry, Pyramedia is conscious of its social responsibility toward the industry in the Middle East. AIB presents a unique forum for us to engage with its worldwide network of over 26,000 media professionals. This offers a unique platform where we can discuss opportunities, learn from the wider media community and also promote the successes achieved in the local and regional industry.”

Established in 1993, AIB’s worldwide reach offers its members regular member-exclusive market intelligence briefings, access to the AIB knowledge network of contacts, regulators, parliaments and participation at industry events globally. Pyramedia’s membership with AIB is yet another confirmation of the stellar work Dr. Al Ruwaini and her team at Pyramedia have accomplished in the media sector. Pyramedia has received previous recognition from AIB in the form of awards such as the “Most Creative Specialist Genre – TV” for the innovative Prince of Poets show.

Welcoming Pyramedia to the AIB network, AIB CEO Simon Spanswick said it is pleasing to see that the AIB’s international membership base continues to grow. “We are delighted to welcome Pyramedia as the latest organization to join our network. Dr. Al Ruwaini is a very well-regarded media personality who has contributed immensely to the industry in the middle-east. We look forward to Pyramedia’s active participation at the ever-increasing range of AIB events internationally and, importantly, in the Gulf where Pyramedia’s expertise will be of immense value as we develop events in this immensely important and culturally-rich region.”
