E-Gate Registration Starts on Sunday in Al Ain


ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, September 27th 2013 [ME NewsWire]

Registration process for the Electronic Ports’ project (E-Gate) for citizens of the UAE and the GCC, in addition to residents and individuals who have an entry visa will begin as of this Sunday at Al Ain Mall. Registration will continue until Thursday October 3rd, and will resume from Sunday October 6 until Thursday October 10 at the same location.

Major Mohammad Ahmed Al Zaabi, Director of the E-Port Project, indicated that registration begins at 10:00 am and concludes at  10:00 pm; noting that those wishing  to register should come in person and bring their passports. He also added that the registration process is free of charge and takes less than 20 seconds only, and stressed that the ministry has allocated counters for women and for individuals with special needs.

Concluding, he assured that the project simplifies travel procedures through the country’s ports and streamlines travelers’ entry and exit.
