Economic Zones World introduces CSR Policy Manual as a reference and guide for all stakeholders
The document outlines EZW’s basic policies, procedures and ethical standards

Economic Zones World (EZW) has recently launched a CSR Policy Manual which outlines EZW’s policies and ethics and serves as a reference for all its stakeholders.
The development of the CSR policy manual is in line with EZW’s ongoing corporate governance and CSR programmes that tie in with the company’s policy of integrating CSR into its overall business model and honouring its social and environmental obligations.
Recognizing that its stakeholders are key to the future success of the business, EZW has introduced a manual to provide guidelines to its employees and management, to help them conduct their activities in the most appropriate way in dealing with the customers, partners, colleagues, community and other stakeholders; in accordance with its primary values and ethical standards. In addition to code of business ethics and standards, the manual also highlights Economic Zones World’s policies on health, safety and environment.

The company’s CSR strategy and multi-pronged approach targets Corporate Governance, Workplace, Marketplace, Environment and Community. Various pre-planned activities have been undertaken in each of these areas. EZW’s Workplace and Marketplace initiatives include the “We Care” programme, under which it organises Diabetes campaign, Nursery survey, National Day and Eid celebrations etc. as well as CSR Awareness & Networking programmes involving employees, stakeholders and partners. The free zone operator’s Environment initiatives include Paper Recycling campaigns, Planting drives while its Community initiatives include work placement and joint activities with community development organisations.
EZW has been preparing annual reports on the CSR activities it conducts during the year since its inception. In order to become compatible globally it is now changing its reporting format based on GRI standards (Global Reporting Initiative), which is one of the world's most prevalent standards for sustainability reporting.
