On December 17th, up and coming Emirati producer Abdulla Al Kaabi premiered his short film ‘The Philosopher’ starring French actor Jean Reno during an event co-sponsored by Evian.

After the screening at the Dubai International Film Festival, Evian co-hosted an exclusive black tie reception at the Burj Al Arab Hotel to celebrate the work of the young producer, in the presence of celebrities such as: Jean Reno, Cyrille Thouvenin, Isabelle Huppert, and many others. The event was attended by regional and international celebrities and guests from across the globe.

Evian supports and encourages young, talented and motivated people from the Middle East. This is one of many achievements by a young local artist which Evian has supported under its motto “Live Young”.

Twenty-four year old Al Kaabi, from Fujairah, studied film making in Paris, where, through contacts, he was able to secure internationally renowned actor Jean Reno to play the lead in his film, a big achievement for the young director. Abdulla is currently in talks with Hollywood producers about working on two further films.
