(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The second annual NAB Show Shanghai will feature enhanced educational programming, including three core conferences, four conference tracks and a new exhibit floor. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the International High Tech Cultural Device Cluster (TCDIC), NAB Show Shanghai is scheduled for December 6-9, 2016 at the Kerry Hotel and the adjacent Shanghai National International Expo Center in the Pudong District of Shanghai, China.
Designed for media professionals involved in the creation, management and distribution of content across broadcast and digital mediums, NAB Show Shanghai serves as an integrated platform for innovation and allows attendees to share global perspectives while learning tactical and successful business strategies.
This year, three core conference programs under the Global Innovation Exchange umbrella will be held December 6-8. They include:
Global Broadcasting Executive Conference
The conference will address common global issues and challenges brought on by innovative technology, such as robotics, over-the-top content (OTT), social media, big data and cloud computing, among others.
Global Filmmaker and Producer Conference
Filmmakers, producers, writers and cinema owners will discuss current challenges facing the film industry, in addition to best practices for embracing innovative technologies.
Global Cable Operator Conference
Co-produced with the Broadcasting Intelligence Terminal Industry Alliance, this conference is designed for all segments of the cable industry. Topics include how to adopt new business strategies, such as virtual reality (VR) and OTT, among others.
Four conference tracks, held December 7-8, will explore the topics of VR and augmented reality (AR), 4K/ultra-high-definition, social media and OTT. The three-day program is designed for production and post professionals and includes robust training workshops that maximize creativity and efficiency with particular tools and software.
Additionally, companies from around the world will showcase their latest technologies and business solutions on the new exhibit floor December 7-9. Broadcast equipment manufacturers, VR/AR developers, smart software and hardware manufacturers and suppliers in the OTT sector will demonstrate their new products, strengthen relationships with existing customers and seek new business opportunities in Asia.
