The Inspector General’s Office at the Ministry of Interior organized a workshop to introduce its objectives, tasks and various procedures, at the Ajman Police General Headquarters.

In his address to attendees, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, stressed the need to encourage the culture of self-inspection in order to empower administrative units to overcome the obstacles that impede readiness, and undermine its ability to provide services and perform their duties with high efficiency and quality.

Major General Al Raisi said that the Inspector General’s Office ensures the proper implementation of work procedures and measures the readiness and performance efficiency of the ministry’s different departments and organizational units. He said: “The office contributes to the efforts to boost performance, so as to enhance technical, administrative, productivity and training efficiency. It also submits proposals and recommendations and encourages competitiveness between the ministry’s various units.”

Colonel Dr. Abdullah Rashid Al Shamesi, Head of Studies and Evaluation Section at the Inspector General's Office, gave an overview of the tasks and procedures undertaken by the office during the inspection process in all its forms. He also tackled the importance of supervision and inspection in police work, so as to ensure the delivery of efficient services and maintain community members’ confidence.
