MoI: 500 Recruits from the Government Sector Enroll in the Customer Service Excellence Diploma

The Ministry of Interior has announced that the second batch of students have enrolled in the Customer Service Excellence Diploma program. The new batch includes 500 students from the Ministry of Interior as well as federal and local governmental bodies.

During the introductory meeting on the program, which was recently held at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior said: “The Customer Service Excellence Diploma is an important development project focused on qualifying human cadres and enhancing their skills, particularly service providers across all sectors at the Ministry of Interior and those who provide services for partners at the government entities”.

Moreover, he stressed the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to prepare highly qualified national competencies in the area of customer service and to invest in them in the best way possible; so as to achieve excellence in the provision of government services. This comes in line with the wise leadership’s vision and directives on establishing the culture of excellence in thought and practice; to achieve the UAE Vision 2021.

The Strategy and Performance Development Director General called upon the participants to pursue their endeavors towards improving institutional performance and upgrading government services to the highest levels. He explained that the Customer Service Excellence Diploma program aims at preparing and training employees working in customer service and providing them with accredited certificates awarded by the International Business Training Association (IBTA).

For his part, Colonel Nasser Khadem Al Ka’bi, Head of the Customer Service Department at the Ministry of Interior, said: “In pursuance of the directives issued by the police leadership, the second batch of students that enrolled in the Customer Service Excellence Diploma included 500 recruits from the various police sectors at the Ministry of Interior, as well as from the federal and local governmental bodies in the Abu Dhabi government”.

“The Customer Service Excellence Diploma program has been designed according to the best modern practices of establishing and developing customer service centers and in cooperation with major world-renowned expertise firms in the field of human resources development. All topics are related to the futuristic UAE Vision 2021 which aims to lead the UAE to become among the top international leaders in customer service. The topics were also related to the visions and strategies of the Ministry of Interior,” he added.

Furthermore, the Head of the Customer Service Department at the Ministry of Interior indicated that the number of participants in second batch of the diploma program amounts to 500 students from various police sectors at the ministry and its government entities partners. He also pointed out the number of participating entities from the government sector amounts to 46 entities, including 29 federal bodies and 17 local bodies form the Abu Dhabi government.  

During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Customer Service Department at the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Maneh Hamad Al Zaabi, gave the attendees an introductory overview that included the diploma program’s topics: the excellence in customer service; the training methodology; the mechanism of performance follow-up; the requirements of the diploma; and the international tests. In conclusion, he noted that the diploma program’s was designed in accordance with the latest international practices aimed at developing the skills of human resources working in the field of service provision; by implementing the latest applications in performance follow-up and evaluating training effectiveness on participants’ performance in the workplace.

The meeting was attended by a number of police leaders, training officials in governmental bodies, in addition to officers and individuals at the Ministry of Interior.
