NEC and Transgene Announce a Collaboration in the Field of Individualized Cancer Immunotherapy, Leveraging NEC's AI and Transgene’s myvac™ Platform

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NEC Corporation (NEC)(TOKYO:6701) and Transgene (Euronext Paris:TNG) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a strategic collaboration aimed at the treatment of solid cancers. The companies will cooperate in clinically assessing the predictive capabilities of NEC’s artificial intelligence (AI) and the therapeutic potential of Transgene’s myvac™ MVA-based viral vector platform in an individualized immunotherapy for the treatment of solid cancers. The experimental products from this collaboration are expected to enter clinical trials in 2019.
NEC and Transgene will co-invest in the first stage of development of an individualized immunotherapy, which includes clinical trials focusing on ovarian cancer and HPV-negative head and neck cancer.
Immunotherapy is rapidly becoming the treatment of choice to fight cancer as it activates the patient’s own immune system to attack cancer cells.
NEC and Transgene have capitalized on the recent progress in AI and advances in genome sequencing to create individualized immunotherapy, which is adapted to the unique characteristics of each patient’s mutational landscape as well as their predicted immune responses. The product is based on a viral vector (MVA) developed by Transgene with a proven clinical safety track record and is known for its efficient immunogenicity and anti-tumor efficacy in patients.
The viral vector will be used to target neoantigens identified using NEC’s proprietary algorithm. NEC has been developing solutions in the drug discovery field for close to two decades. NEC’s neoantigen prediction system was developed and validated based on publicly available databases, as well as internal wet lab datasets, some of which were already used to identify clinically relevant antigens in other oncology indications.

وقد اطّلع الطاير على فعالية مشاركة الشركات الروسية في معرض تكنولوجيا المياه والطاقة والبيئة "ويتيكس"، ودعا جميع الشركات الحاضرة إلى المشاركة في النسخة المقبلة من المعرض.

Russian export center presented products of Russian companies at the WETEX

Russian Export Centre took part in the exhibition   WETEX 2018 which was held from 23 to 26 October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.  The main theme  of WETEX was «At the forefront of sustainability». 2000 companies from 52 countries took part in the exhibition.

Russian export center organized collective Russian exposition “Made in Russia” covering area of 220 sq. m. This year, Russia was presented at the exhibition by 15 companies and organizations from various regions of Russia, including: ABONO (recycling, composting and waste incineration equipment design and manufacturing), Innovatiks –SK  (Renewable energy sources (RES), KB Avrora (robotic technology), TECHNO –AC (non-destructive testing  equipment), Poliplast (galvanic equipment and sewage treatment facilities, water pretreatment systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems), Pro-Tok (energy saving, energy conservation, energy efficiency), RM Nanotech (Membranium) (Production of membrane flatsheet and membrane spiral wound elements for ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis), TURKOV (energy efficient

climate control systems), Ural Active (chemical products, waste treatment), Filter  (polypropylene filter elements for cleaning liquids from mechanical impurities), Eco-Spectrum (high-efficient incineration systems), Electroram  (renewable energy sources for the production of clean fresh water and industrial gases from the air), H2O treatment system (water treatment for plants), INSYTE (equipment for creating: smart homes, smart cities, building automation systems, cloud energy efficiency systems, IoT-controllers), Association VAST (design, production and distribution of the condition monitoring, diagnostics systems, professional balancing and laser alignment tools for the industrial and transport applications).

More than 500 people visited the stand of Russian companies. Many participants of the Russian pavilion signed agreements and memorandums of cooperation with representatives of UAE companies.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder & Chairman of WETEX, visited Russian Pavilion at the last day of the exhibition.

He asked about the effectiveness of Russian companies ' participation in Wetex and invited all companies to take part in the next exhibition.
