أعداد المسافرين ترتفع بنسبة 4.3 % نوفمبر الفائت

حافظت مطارات دبي على مسار نموها التصاعدي خلال النصف الثاني من عام 2014، حيث ارتفعت أعداد المسافرين في مطار دبي الدولي في شهر نوفمبر الفائت بنسبة 4.3% وفقا لأحدث تقرير عن الحركة الجوية أصدرته مطارات دبي اليوم.

وبلغ إجمالي عدد المسافرين خلال شهر نوفمبر 5 ملايين و 565 الفا و 506 مسافرا  بارتفاع نسبته 4.3% بالمقارنة مع 5 ملايين و 337 الفا و 544 مسافرا في نوفمبر 2013، فيما بلغت نسبة الارتفاع منذ بداية العام وحتى الآن 5.9%، حيث بلغ اجمالي عدد المسافرين 63 مليونا و 977 الفا و 063 مسافرا بالمقارنة مع 60 مليونا و 384 الفا و 407 مسافرا خلال الأشهر الإحدى عشرة الأولى من عام 2013.

وسجلت حركة الطائرات خلال شهر نوفمبر الفائت ارتفاعاً بنسبة 10% لتصل إلى 34690 حركة بالمقارنة مع 31525 حركة في نوفمبر 2013، فيما أنخفض إجمالي عدد حركات الطائرات منذ بداية العام الحالي وحتى الآن بنسبة 3.5%، ليهبط إلى 325469 حركة مقارنة مع 337121 حركة خلال الإحد عشر شهرا الأولى من عام 2013. ويرجع الانخفاض في إجمالي حركة الطائرات إلى تقلص الطاقة الاستيعابية في الفترة التي تم خلالها تنفيذ برنامج تحديث مدرجي المطار في وقت سابق من العام الحالي.

وعلى صعيد ابرز الاسواق المتعاملة مع مطار دبي الدولي، كانت أوروبا الشرقية المنطقة الأسرع نموا، حيث بلغت نسبة الزيادة في أعداد المسافرين 54.1% في شهر نوفمبر من العام الحالي، بالمقارنة مع شهر نوفمبر 2013، نتيجة النمو القوي مع محطات مثل بودابست، وبراغ، ووارسو.

وسجل حجم حركة الشحن تراجعاً بنسبة 8% خلال شهر نوفمبر 2014 ليهبط إلى 205375 طنا، بالمقارنة مع 223195 طنا خلال شهر نوفمبر 2013، كما تراجع إجمالي حركة الشحن منذ بداية العام وحتى الآن بنسبة 2.7% ليهبط إلى 2164738 طنا، بالمقارنة مع 2225486 طنا خلال الفترة المناظرة من عام 2013. وواصل حجم حركة الشحن في مطار دبي الدولي خلال النصف الثاني من عام 2014 تأثره بنقل جميع رحلات الشحن إلى مطار آل مكتوم الدولي في دبي ورلد سنترال.

وتعليقا على النتائج قال بول غريفيث الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة مطارات دبي:"إذا ما نظرنا إلى النتائج المحققة خلال الإحد عشر شهرا الفائتة من العام الحالي، جنبا إلى جنب مع الرقم القياسي لعدد المسافرين خلال قمة موسم السفر في شهر ديسمبر ،وهو الأعلى في تاريخ مطار دبي، فإننا على ثقة بأننا سنتجاوز حاجز الــ 70 مليون مسافر بنهاية العام، مؤكدين بذلك مكانة مطار دبي الدولي كأكثر المطارات ازدحاما على مستوى العالم".

وأضاف غريفيث:"عندما نتطلع إلى عام 2015 فأن المستقبل يبدو مشرقا للغاية، ونحن نتوقع أن نحافظ على معدلات نمو قوية خلال العام القادم، ولذلك فان مؤسسة مطارات دبي تواصل الاستثمار في إقامة مرافق وفقا لأرقى المعايير العالمية، لمواكبة الزيادة في الطلب، بما في ذلك افتتاح مبنى "الكونكورس دي" الجديد في النصف الأول من العام القادم".

Passenger traffic at DXB climbs 4.3 per cent in November 2014

Dubai Airports maintained its growth trajectory in the second half of 2014 with passenger traffic at Dubai International rising 4.3 per cent in November, according to the latest traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports today.

Passenger traffic in November 2014 totalled 5,565,509, up 4.3 per cent from the 5,337,544 passengers recorded in the same month in 2013. Year to date traffic rose 5.9 per cent to 63,977,063 compared to 60,384,407 passengers recorded during the first 11 months of last year.

Aircraft movements climbed 10 per cent in November 2014 to 34,690 movements, up from the 31,525 movements recorded in November last year. Year to date aircraft movements declined 3.5 per cent to 325,469 movements, down from the 337,121 movements achieved in the first 11 months of 2013. The drop in aircraft movements so far this year has been driven by capacity cuts made during the runway refurbishment programme earlier this year.

Regionally Eastern Europe was the fastest growing region, with passenger traffic rising 54.1 per cent year on year in November, spurred on by strong growth from Budapest, Prague and Warsaw.

Cargo volumes slipped 8 per cent in November 2014 to 205,375 tonnes, down from the 223,195 tonnes recorded in the same month last year. Year-to date cargo volumes dipped 2.7 per cent to 2,164,738 tonnes, down from the 2,225,486 tonnes achieved during the same period last year. Freight volumes at Dubai International continued to be impacted in the second half of 2014 by the move of all dedicated freighter services to Al Maktoum International in May this year.

“Given the traffic achieved in the first 11 months, together with some of the busiest days on record in December, we are confident of ending the year above the 70 million mark and confirming our position as the world’s busiest international airport,” said Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports.

Abu Dhabi Police organize “Inventory of Knowledge” Workshop

The Knowledge Center at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, recently organized a workshop marking the commencement of the ‘Inventory of Tacit Knowledge’ project designed for knowledge coordinators at all departments within the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.

The workshop, which was held at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, was inaugurated by Major Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development. In his opening speech, Major Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of the workshop in reflecting the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s vision, which aims at ensuring that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains a society that enjoys safety and security, by providing high-quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate.

“Knowledge forums and workshops organized by the Knowledge Center aim at enhancing the knowledge culture and spreading it across all sectors, by implementing the best practices. These forums represent the perfect opportunity to discuss and review the distinguished experiences and to share and develop knowledge,” he added.

For his part, Major Khaled Hussein Al Khoury, Director of the Knowledge Center at the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, gave an overview of the Knowledge Center’s achievements, and the most important topics of the Center’s future plans for the year 2015. He also highlighted the importance of such knowledge-based initiatives in ensuring continued transfer of expertise between staff members; investing in performance development; and enhancing knowledge management at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

Several practical exercises were also carried out during the workshop, which provided an interactive and engaging experience for attendees.

شرطة أبوظبي تدعو للاهتمام بنظافة الحيوانات الأليفة

دعت شرطة أبوظبي، ممثلة في إدارة التفتيش الأمني (k 9)، مربي الحيوانات الأليفة إلى الاهتمام بالنظافة المستمرة لجميع الحيوانات، خصوصاً في فصل الصيف، لافتاً إلى أن النظافة الدائمة تقيهم من الطفيليات الخارجية كالقراد الذي يسبب أمراضاً قد تؤدي إلى نفوقه.

تأتي هذه الدعوة عبر الأثير غداً "الأربعاء" ضمن حملة (ومضات أمنية) التي ينظمها فرع الإذاعة في إدارة الإعلام الأمني، في الأمانة العامة لمكتب سمو نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية.
