Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Wednesday, September 18th 2013 [ME NewsWire]
A
delegation from the Capital Police Directorate reviewed the security
measures implemented at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, to assess the
level of the security personnel working on the Island, where the Abu
Dhabi Securities Exchange and international companies’ offices are
located.
Brigadier Maktoum Al Sharifi, Director of the Capital
Police Directorate indicated that the delegation reviewed the security
measures in place at Al Maryah Island, home to the Abu Dhabi Securities

“Since the Island has been designated to be the capital's Central
Business District, we need to constantly review the surveillance cameras
installed and security measures, as well as assessing the standard of
training of the security companies’ personnel operating on the Island,
to provide them with advice, and urge them to quickly communicate with
police forces in the event of any accident or crime. This reflects the
Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s keenness to maintain the level of security
prevailing in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,” he said.
A delegation
from the Al Madina Police Station at the Capital Police Directorate,
headed by Major Ahmed Juma’a Al Khaili, Director of Operations, had
carried out an inspection tour at the Island and discussed the security
measures in place during a joint meeting with a number of concerned

Island in Abu Dhabi, and the need to meet the necessary security
requirements.

Serco Middle East, praised the Capital Police Directorate’s efforts to
maintain security and safety, and keep track of the security measures
followed at the Island.
