The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security Department of Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 92 participants after completing six specialized courses spanning over one week. The courses included: 3 Detection and Security Inspection courses using Computer-based Training Simulation (CBT); Self-development and Psychological Balance Methods; Aviation Security Supervisors; and a course on Airports Security Basics.
Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Training Branch Manager at the Ports and Airports Security Police Department, indicated that such courses embody the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy aimed at enhancing its police and security cadre’s skills as per international-best standards to keep up with latest developments in all fields.
She added that the graduates received several applications and knowledge aimed at enhancing their competencies and honing their skills in their relative career fields. The courses included training on Detection and Security Inspection using computer-based training simulation (CBT), Self-development and Psychological Balance Methods, Aviation Security Supervisors and Airports Security Basics, with a view to improve the level of services provided to the public.
At the end of the ceremony, Lt. Colonel Awad congratulated graduates and handed them certificates, in the presence of a number of officers and officials from the department. She urged the graduates to exert further efforts to boost the security and safety witnessed by the country.
